The bureaucratic system of the Qin and Han dynasties embodied an implicit logic of genre cognition. Official titles formed a corresponding genealogical relationship with specific types of administrative documents；alternative designations of official positions， through metaphorical means， highlighted the functions or material carriers of genres，while the stratification of bureaucratic cultural circles gave rise to early broad genre categories. The practices of collecting， compiling and archiving official documents in turn established a framework for genre classification within administrative operations. The divergent institutional trajectories of governmental affairs and ritual-musical operations ultimately led to the generic bifurcation between the political-argumentative “brush”（bi笔）and the ceremonial “pattern”（wen文）.These interconnected institutional dimensions jointly propelled the emergence and evolution of genre consciousness during the Qin and Han periods.
